His wife Bedia aims to take control of the entire fortune by marrying their son Osman to a girl from her own family. Fed up with his son Osman's womanizing ways, Rüknettin Bey tells him to choose the girl he wants to marry within a month. While the girls from Bedia's family circle around Osman, Rüknettin Bey's niece, nicknamed "Barut Fıçısı" (Gunpowder Barrel), also has her eye on Osman.
