The brothers, who were born and raised in Tohoku and have different personalities and lifestyles, are reunited when Chise falls ill, and the three decide to head to Matsushima at Chise's request, who has only a short time left to live. Matsushima is the only place they remember where they went on a family trip after losing their father at an early age. They encounter various people and see the disaster area spreading out.
