The Dead Sing for the Living

الموتى يغنون للأحياء

Presented by Payal Kapadia, and built around the words of Palestinian poet Shadi Zaqtan, this film carries the names, memories, and echoes of Palestinian children and families who can no longer speak for themselves. “The Dead Sing for the Living” is a poetic and political meditation on erasure, memory, and resilience in Palestine. Through a haunting roll call of names and a litany of what has been destroyed homes, schools, trees, birds, and dreams
